Woo hoo... that looks great fun... and a great turn out :thumb

Roll on my off road course... is it really possible to take tight gravely corners that fast... :bounce1

Although those Boreens looked more like Forest tracks to me... :eek ;)

Forest tracks..
They're the pride of our national road system...

Just after the video finished there was a toll booth.

Jockser appears in this one from the waist down :)

Thats the bit that does most of my thinking for me ;) ;)

That was like a motorway compared to some of the roads we were on

Great weekend, saw bits of this country I didn't know existed. Even the bit of rain on Sunday morning didn't dampen the spirits :) Well done to Jimmy & Pat for the route, Claire for the bookings & Garfieldus for the original idea :bow :clap :bow

I'm currently going through my own pics to see whats worth keeping - taking photos while riding means there's a lot of 'discards' :( - I'll do a bit of a write up in the next day or two. :beerjug:

You hated the gravel in the Picos, I remember that gravel car park up @ Covadonga lakes..............that you didn't want to enter

After the off-road course you can show us and off road rideout

I had it mounted on the LHS rocker cover, see pic.
I have about another eight vids and 100 good pics.
I hope Garfieldus puts them up :bounce1 , some of the lads were really moving lively.

Just love those Irish roads with Green Mohicans... :thumb

Reminds me of the Boreen that led up to my old place near Gort...

Ah... those were the days... :(

SHOTS

. . . so, Daithi, that was your GS with the shaped backrest topbox? Now understand how the expertise was applied!
. . . excellent gallery.

Looks like great craic. :thumb Pity it's the same weekend as the Riders Rally though. :( :tears :tears

Yeah, but I know what roads I'd prefer to be on throughout a bank holiday weekend ;)

Well I'm hooked. :D

I had never gone on a boreen or off road before this event, and didn't know
a GS would behave so well. I cant see how you could make a day more
enjoyable, everytime I think about it I start grinning and all my conversations
drift around to it. What a thrilling weekend. I wish I'd brought more camera
memory though, some of the very best bits came upon me suddenly that
turning on a camera was the last thing I was thinking of. Feckin Brilliant.
It cured me completely of my fear of gravel and sliding around the place,
anyone got the group picture that was taken on Priest's Leap ?

Just to say thanks to Jimmy, Pat, Gary and Claire for the most memorable
spin of my life. :clap :bow :clap :bow :clap :bow :clap :bow and all
the participants, who were great craic. and to whoever talked me out of
camping the two nights. :beerjug:  (still grinning :D )

Brilliant roads on this years Riders Gary. R roads all the way, little or no traffic and no sign of the blanket Garda coverage promised all over the country. :thumb

99% of the route had traces of tarmac on it. Honest ! :mmmm
Everyone I spoke to during and after said it was the best Boreen run ever.

:D Still grinnin.

During a PC / d1ckhead interface breakdown the other day I managed to lose almost 400 pics of Boreen '06 :doh :tosser

I did however manage to save this wee bit of video of me riding over Priests Leap with the camera in my left hand. After one yump I had to either drop the camera or the bike  Decided to drop the camera, but you can see it still recording as it dangles from my neck :D
