I think he`s on about the seat on a GSPD (which IS an Airhead) and the seat on the non PD Airhead.......


Mind you.....bearing in mind where we are............... :D

i think the GS lockplate has an integral grab rail that gets in the way of fitting a single seat, but if you're going the other way it's fine.
 
I regularly switch between single seat with enduro rack and dual Corbin seat. Four bolts on the front of the enduro rack, four on the rear. Remove and replace seat lock plate to suit and the enduro rack also connects to rear mudguard.

It takes 30 minutes tops and I am seriously ham fisted.

I don't use the grab rail and using the locking plate without it is fine.
