Well as I got a brand new unit replaced by garmin and I'm going back to Brazil, therefore not need all the european maps the quest 2 comes with, I'm thinking about doing what the title says, but got a few question :D

I've mapsource installed on my computer and have brazilian maps from tracksource (FOC) that work on my quest but I need to use mapsource to upload them into the satnav, will I be able to use the same mapsource with the 60CSx? Or it only 'connects' with the unit (serial number) it was installed with (the yellow slip)?

TIA

It should work fine. It's only the map license that is hooked up to a given GPS. MapSource itself will, i think, work with any Garmin.

This also means that it should be possible to create tracks in MapSource and upload them to the 60CX.
