Sligo Emerald MCC are once again organising our Annual Christmas Charity Run. This year will be our 7th Run. The nominated charity this year will be CREGG HOUSE in Sligo and the area within CREGG where the funds will be specifically allocated is The STEPS & IONA projects. The funds raised will be used to purchase much needed training aids for both residential and day care clients.
Last year was a great success with a total of € 24k been raised between our 2 events ( Santa Claus in O’Connell St Sligo on the Saturday and the Run on Sunday). We would like to thank all the participants and helpers who raised this fantastic sum of money.
As organizers we recognized the need to adjust the format of the run. We receive great support from the bikers in the Northern region and to expect them to return to Sligo after the run to attend the function was unfair. As a result this year the format will change slightly. The run will leave from Tesco car park on Sunday 10th Dec @ 12 noon and will finish in The Abbey Hotel with a function to include buffet, music, spot prizes and auction for all the participants.
Entry to the Run is by either Sponsorship card or entry fee of € 20.00 on the day. Our preferred method is Sponsorship, as this increases the public’s awareness of the event.

If you have a bike? Dust it down, polish it up, charge the battery, put air in the tyres and come on out and use it. It’s a great feeling riding together with 250 motorbikes.
