your mate will get what he pays for.... best is to spend a little and get a prof one, one that gets updated daily.

Try the Halifax

If you have a Halifax account and bank on-line with them, they provide some anti-virus software free of charge and it is updated free of charge on a regular basis

Must be OK or else they wouldn't risk putting it out there........would they??? :confused:

Worked for me over the last two years with countless automatic updates.

personally i use mcafee as it will update free forever via mcafee website, but you asked about free tools.
