Well lads n Ladies,
The rocker housing arrived last Thursday, but motoworks forgot
to put in the camshaft, so ph them and they put it straight in the post
but to me Belfast address by mistake, was a bit pissed at this, but the good
people at motorworks offered me a service kit for the trouble of going
to Belfast to pick it up :clap :clap
Now any time I return to buzzin belfast i always go by me moto,
its been years since i drove a car up, but yesterday i drove up what a
nightmare 2hrs 30mins getting up and 3hrs 20mins gettting back thanks till
the road works on the westlink, why in gods name do people drive cars :nenau ,
anyway today was spent putting me moto back together
got it back in one piece at 6pm tonight, said a wee prayer and hit the
start button, the motor turned over but would not fire
reset the motoronic unit and tryed again, but me battery then died,
so its on a slow charge and hopefully with the love of God it fires tomorrow.
Otherwise its on the back of a trailer to Belfast on Sunday

Nice one Joe :thumb hope all goes well tomorrow. Good to hear you may be back on the road, used to own a GN, gave up after the bottom end blew.

look forward to seeing the green machine back on the road!

Ahhh....the joys of the Westlink..those were the days :rob

Aye they were. Compared to now, when it takes an hour to get from Nelson St to Broadway outside of rush hour

Ah sure they don't know when they're livin. There was no West Link yoke in my day, sure I remember the days when the A1 went through Hillsborough, Dromore and Banbridge. All yur fine motorways and dual carriage ways, and yer big bikes, sure ya don't know that you're living .............
If I had my way............

a grifter had ya! and there's me with ma Da's 3 gear Raleigh before I got my 10 speed to haul my ass down and up the Crumlin Rd, and it was a great day when you could hook onto the back of a lorry and get a tow.

My first long ride was in '74 on a TS125 Suzuki.
Belfast, M1, Lisburn, Hillsborough, Dromore, Banbridge, Newry, Dundalk, Castlebellingham, Dunleer, Drogheda, Balbriggan, Swords, Dublin, Wicklow, Avoca to the Avonbeg Rally. Took me about 8 hours, but those were the days when men were men, not the sissies with their big bikes, matching clothing and handbags, sorry panniers.
I remember .............
Gerry C does this much better than I can, even though he is a slightly young vintage.
Over to you Gerry.

Joe, have you got that bike running yet?

result!

and the smug smile, they'll be no living with him with him now.

"Did I ever tell ya of the time I fixed me moto?"
"No, well twas in the month of December '06 and ................"
