Does anyone have the City Select CD(s) and be prepared to send me a copy.

I have a Garmin GPS V (with the unit unlock codes) but not the install disc (long story)

I have the European Metroguide CDs if anyone wants to trade -

Please help I keep getting lost on R100GS!

Just phone garmin and ask for the V5.00 discs to be sent out to you.

They do this for free and you can just re-install using your original unlock codes.

BTW I dont hold to much hope - Last time I asked if I could have replacement CD they said I had to buy a new unit to get one!

upgrades to v5

I e-mailed them & got the v5 CD sent out next post. E-mail address on their website www.garmin.com

As ralphy says - it's an upgrade

Found the number on the site somewhere - can't remember where. I only rang as the second upgrade I requested took longer than the first.

Very helpful and efficient whether by email or phone.

You dont happen to know if the upgrade CD requires a previous installation of the old city select do you?

Yes it does.

I tried installing the upgrade on my laptop yesterday (PC died) and had to install version 4 and then upgrade to 5.

Thats the problem you see - I dont have a copy of version 4.

Would anyone do me a copy?

BTW the update CD arrived this morning
