V-Strom DL650 - Thoughts

Any thoughts on the overall performance of a Suzuki V-Strom DL650 as a lightish Adv Tourer - mainly tarmac and trails - they seem to get good write-ups?

I've got one and they really are the best value for money trailie around

If I didn't think the GS was the coolest bike on the planet I'd probably just have the Strom

Just bought this today for my winter blast. Its only done 900 miles and was ded cheap. Must say i am very impressed. These bikes will do anything you want it to. Had TKC80's fitted this afternoon but not tried them out yet!

the motor is extraordinarily good - the rest of it looks ugly - in an ugly way though

I had a DL650 V-Strom just before I got my GS.

It's a lovely bike

go for it . . . nothing wrong with them . . . I just wanted to get my 'dream bike' my beloved GS
