Only to be used as a last resort in case your GPS V is locked up and you cannot start it normally. In doing this you will erase ALL data - routes - waypoints and everything else previously saved in the unit . You need to take the unit outside and allow it to relocate after perfroming this reset.
Press and Hold the following buttons in the follwoing order. You must end up with all three buttons held in simultaneously - once the unit kicks into life release all three.
1) ZOOM OUT
2) QUIT
3) ON
Hopefully you never need this but a good one to note down.
