View Full Version : Nescafe 3in1 coffee
It's £1 for a bag of 10 in Sainsburys at the moment, down from £2.50(ish) great for camping.

I don't think I have seen that here and although I used to drink a lot of instant coffee when living in Ireland & UK, the Nescafe formulation is different here (or maybe it's the water) so it doesn't great.
What is 3 in 1 Nescafe (nothing to do with the oil I hope :))? Is it with combined milk (going by one of the posts here) and what is the third ingredient - sugar?
Coming over to Scotland shortly for a Highlands drive and some camping so maybe get myself some of that!

Yep, shame there's no 2-in-1 with no sugar option.

I used to buy this in Eastern Europe and it is great for camping. Good to see we have it in UK at last.
I have been using the Kenco version but I think the Nescafe is better
really good not long back from scotland and took some with us must be good as had to restock half way through, my bros who does'nt take sugar drank as many as me and didn't say it was over sweet
I Know I shouldn't admit it but Ive just been in in Lidl & its 99p in there, just bought 2 bags :thumb2
If you like the concept of instant coffee but prefer the flavour etc of real coffee then try Starbuck's micro ground. It is a mix of instant and very finely ground real coffee. It is quite nice.
However...
I have just recently purchased the Aerobie Aeropress coffee maker (http://www.aerobieshop.co.uk/coffee-maker.html)...
It is like a cross between a French Press (sorry, can't spell cafetiere) and a large syringe. It is light and compact and produces very good coffee. All it needs is a filter paper, ground coffee and hot (never boiling) water.
I can fully recommend it when you have had an evening on :ChrisKelly and need to cook breakfast. :blast

Been making my own for years, simply get a jar, put in 1 spoon of coffee, 1 spoon of coffee mate and however much sugar you take, say 2 spoons, repeat until jar is full, give it a shake, job done ! When you want a coffee just put 4 spoonfuls into your cup and add water, simples !
Most supermarkets do 2 in 1 coffee sachets - they are cheap and great for camping because you use one sachet per cup and that means no problems if your luggage leaks water ......
