I know this question has been answered in a dozen different ways before (and the rest!!) but the answers seem to suggest all sorts of different things and I'm a bit confused..

I have:

1150 Adv
StreetPilot 2610
MigSels lovely speedo mount
Various Ram bits to hold it all together.

What I'm missing is a powerlead from the unit to the powersocket on the bike.

I don't fancy hardwiring it in, as I would prefer it to be 'plug-and-go', and I don't seem to be able to spot a ready made lead that doesn't need extra fuses/choc blocks/6" nails wiring in...

I'm sure the answer is staring me in the face and I apologise if this is a complete muppet question :(

TIA and over to you...

David

It really is just as easy to hard-wire the 2610.

Either way, you'll need this lead:

Simply connect the bare ends to fuse, a power source and to earth.

If you really want a plug-n-go solution, take the same lead and add this plug to the bare ends:

I hard wired mine originally but because it is powered you get corrosion on one or more of the pins a it wrecks it.

I installed a new one on Saturday but this time I have put a switch in the circuit to turn it off when not being used.
