Anyone been to this bit of Spain? Any tips?
Not been there but the area is little known by tourists and produces some excellent red wine so should suit bikers perfectly.

went throuh last year from Oporto - think extramadura means extra hard which sums it up - hot and baking. Can pass on part of my diary if helps - some good roads between the two countries
