Byways on OS Explorer Map 144 - Basingstoke, Alton & Whitchurch

Clive, worth pointing out, although you may not have seen it, if you ride SU590561 the other way, as you enter the woods the track splits, you have to take the left hand one to stay on the lane, the other is not too ncie if I remember right and goes nowehere

These are excellent lanes for blackberries later in the year

Not had a chance to get to the tree down yet, but the Devils highway in Mortimer is now passable if anyone else uses this as a short cut, not down to me though, we would have done a better job.

Experimenting with the the larger size photos as I have noticed that Zooomr doesn't appear to allow you to view the large size when you click on the medium size ones I was using in the posts

any chance you could send me some gps coordinates for any of these byways?
I'm getting th ebug of offroad and I'd like to go around a bit more...

I've just been thinking about maybe trying some light offroad stuff, never haveing done any before, and this is just what I needed.

I may have a play on some of the easier routes when the weather sorts itself out - which wil probably be next year (April onwards).
