DAB radio!! does it work in europe???

hi heading off for 2 weeks on saturday and stopping off at garmisch and need a radio..normally i carry small FM/AM type but loose reception very easily..does DAB work over there or is it just a uk thing, if it does work is it any good????
please let me know soon as i go on saturday and havent much sorted yet and i have only got my computer working after about 3 weeks, and meant to ask this question weeks ago!!!

I think you will find that DAB in Europe is different so UK DAB radios won't work.

Your bloody lucky if it works in the UK

I'd take an FM radio as a backup.

There are several German ensembles that look like they may work, but there are a lot that won't.

There are several bands that DAB uses, and not all radios receive all bands - which one do you have?
