Check out the wiring from the ignition 4-5 wires in side a black outer sheath just around the head stock left hand side peeel back you may find frayed wires I fix a 650 for a work colleague not long ago same symptoms.

Exactly my problem too.. warmed up engine then usually as I clutch in to slow down for a tight bend it just stops.. I find myself hitting the starter switch while on the move clutch in.. very disconcerting..
Having to keep revs up while slowing or clutching like it was some kind of old banger that has no tickover.

Might be worth looking at the side stand switch - could be damaged.
