Well i had my test at 1.30...and OMG i passed!!! with 2 minors!
1 minor was for speeding... LOL- i was in a 30 limit and didnt realise and was going a little faster than i should have been
And the second was for my emergency stop! had to do 2 of them as the first wasnt good enough and the 2nd was passable but ok
At the start i was asked about the engine oil and how to operate the horn, then read the number plate of a vehicle.
then to get on the bike and when i was ready turn out of the test centre and take the right turn at the lights...and off we went...
Apparently i was looking absolutely mortified throughout, and the examiner tried to make me feel at ease but couldnt get a smile out of me LOL- ...nerves
also i LOSTthe examiner as we joined the A14 i think it was, apparently as soon as i saw the national speed limit i was gone! and the examiner got held up, i lost radio contact briefly b/c apparently he had told me to take 2 exits which i didnt 'hear' and when i saw him eventually coming up behind i eased up and we took the next exit
and at the end of the test he asked me the question about what adjustments were needed to take a pillion i got the tyres, suspension lights , but forgot the last one , my mind when blank , i said i know it, then....mirrors!
the examiner made a joke about was i sure?(obviously trying to make me feel at bit more at ease) he said was it for the pillions to check their hair make up etc LOL, so i nervously laughed and said no, and explained
Then he told me i had PASSED!!
Stunned wasnt the word!
Elated ...YES
I was expecting more minors and am very pleased with my result
I'm not as bad as i thought
the person training with me also passed with 4 minors
I am SO glad i dont have to take the test again LOL
But i did enjoy the ride and was just worrying all the way round that i was doing everything correct, by saying to myself right, do this do that check this and that
So once i have come down off cloud 9, i shall take my time to find myself another 'bigger' bike
bye bye 125 it was nice knowing you......bless
And many thanks to Ian, who without his instructing (whic is excellent) i dont think i would have got through it, and also thanks for his belief in me that i could pass...... my dream for the past 20 odd yrs has finally come true
And many thanks to everyone on the forum that has given me encouragement and support
Will see some of you out on the road somewhen
I PASSED !!!!!
