    Malcolm Dawson's Butchers, Blyth.

Sometimes you go searching for things.....and then find them accidentally, just around the corner.

Took the bike in for it's MOT at Ferguson's and whilst it was being failed, found this wonderful shop:

...with an intrigueing sign in the window..

    Gunness cured bacon

...and their own Chorizo sausages...amongst others..

.......well, be rude not to eh?

They keep standard business hours but the view over the Wear valley and the trad Brit. grub makes up for it. You can see your bike in the car park if you worry about that kind of thing. Free newspapers if you want to depress your self.
    Sadly its up for sale.

Cross Lordstones Cafe at Carlton Bank off the list

Miserable twat that runs it has hiked his prices and the food and service is pretty crap when I was there last week

Get your grub at Castlegate Cafe in Helmsley or Howards in Stokesley instead

Absolutley brilliant, started off from a caravan whilst the buildings and B&B were being restored / built.

    Can anyone give instructions ?
I rode from Stanhope up through Crawleyside and ended up in Edmondbyers - never saw it

Just up from the harbour in the old Chandelry building. Fantastic ice cream (made on the premises by Nick a fellow biker) coffees and cake!

    Well worth a visit
