Cafes, coffee stops and favourite greasy spoons in the East Midlands

Let us know your recommendations for your favourite biker food drink stop, a GPS waypoint would be good.

Bacon Butties & Bikes - Brilliant

Heres a couple of belters that I use regularly

    1. RAF Waddington viewing area on the A15, proper tea, bacon & cheese baps while watching visiting NATO aircraft at the base + theres also a small shop selling books models etc - a great stop-over.

    2. Willingham Woods picnic stop on the A631 about a mile outside Market Rasen just past the racecourse, very popular with bikes throughout the summer. Again proper bacon baps & strong steaming hot tea. Well worth a visit. http://www.willinghamwoods.com/

Looking forward to perhaps seeing some of you GS`s here in `08`.

Sounds strange I know. Greg who runs the place is mad on vintage bikes and vehicles. There's a free vehicle museum and a Cafe and shop. It gets a bit busy at the weekend but makes a nice coffee stop in the week.

    Big Al's Diner.
A17 between RAF Cranwell and Sleaford.
Loads of space to park, petrol station next door, great food, good prices, nice guy - likes bikes, bike meet every wednesday, pretty waitress

Just across the road is the RAF Cranwell visitor centre - well worth a look, as is RAF Cranwell itself - nice ride through the camp, great buildings...imagine T.E Lawrence setting off on his Brough to ride into Lincoln

A631 between Market Rasen and Louth - South Elkington Post Office, 2 miles west of Louth

Serves a real bacon roll, fried in front of you not the microwave tasteless stuff you normally get. Tea and coffee in proper mugs. Large car park. Layby in front. Picnic tables in garden.

    Great place to stop
