Wartime themed cafe 'Back in time for tea'

40's themed tea rooms doing a good range of food, next door to RTI military surplus, the largest surplus store in the midlands (It's huge inside with a surprising range of stuff, all at very reasonable prices :thumb )

Update regarding Cafe Ventoux.

Visited this excellent again today and they confirmed that they plan to build a new cafe starting in the new year.

During the period of the build the current cafe building will be closed and the service will operate from a portable building.

Despite their website saying they're open during building works. They’re not. Says “opening in the summer”.

There's an excellent old school greasy spoon on the A57 between Saxilby and Lincoln, next to the car place selling 2nd hand 4x4s.
Plenty of indoor and outdoor (covered) seating.

Not that I saw. I'll let you know when I try it.

I believe Derek has recently done a Recce on this café and has bookmarked it for a future breakfast. :)

Caffecreame

There is a great place in Bourne called Caffe Cream they do fantastic steak burgers and home made cheese cake it’s lovely
They also have a bike night on Thursday 5-8.30 try it.

6 Crown Walk, Bourne, Lincs.

Has anyone tried the cafe on the A17 south, it has a load of artillery guns and a tank and a warplane (jet) of some sort ouside, covered in flags and bunting... I pass it on the way to and from Sutton Bridge but not dropped in.

Cromford, before you get to the dreaded (and aweful) Matlock Bath, the old station kiosk on the A6 - great little family run cafe with home cooked food.
