    Italia 08 is full

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

Please note that Italia 08 has reached 21 bikes and 25 people.

Therefore, the trip is now closed.

If anybody wishes to join the tour, I am happy to add them to a reserve list, on a first come - first offered basis.

Should anybody drop out, then I will make a post in this section.

    Regards

    PaulBDE

    Bank Holiday Update!

Gents, as some of you will be aware, I am in the midst of changing my job, so as such I have been unable to spend any time with the remaining tour bits and pieces.

It is my intention to correct this over the weekend and will be posting updates on:

    GPS routing

    Tour Shirts

and anything else that I remember!

    Keep an eye out!

    Cheers

    Paul

Italia 08 Tour Members - You have Mail!!!!

    Guys,

As you will be aware, I have been in the process of changing my job, so not really been around to update the site all that much!

I have spent today getting all the final costing together, and will also be the end of this week post a new set of GPS routing.

The difference between what you have now and what you will get is:

    1. The map set is corrected regarding seasonal avoidance

    2. The daily routes will now show central lunch meeting points

    3. A waypoint is added for meeting Flash & Trassa

    4. A waypoint is added for meeting Stolzy

I have also sent you today a spreadsheet that details all the accommodation costing for the upcoming tour.

As well as some info on outstanding costs - please come back to me on that one.

    Documentation

Following a recent question raised, please note

When travelling in Europe, ensure you carry the original copy of your V5 and current insurance certificate along with your driving licence.

    What I would suggest is:

Make a colour copy / scan of all three items and print / laminate them, and have them handy - i.e. in the tank bag.

The originals, seal in a plastic bag and bury in a pannier.

The a flash of the copies will get you past most Euro cops, however take the originals in case they want to get funny.

    Mobile Phone Numbers

    Hi all

I know a lot of you on the Tour are going to be able to communicate by radio but I thought it might also be an idea if we all knew, or had available, everyones mobile phone number.

If you would like to PM me with your individual numbers I will then collate them and publish to all prior to the tour.

Apologies Paul if this was something you had planned to do...

    Cheers

    G

    GPS Route Files

    Gentlemen,

    You have mail!

Via your normal e-mail, I have sent you the full trip GPS files.

The files have been updated to read easier on your route list, and now also include:

    Fuel Zones

    Lunch Stops

    Camp sites

I have also included a sheet on what is loaded on what day, and also local regulations for the country we are passing through.

Let me know if you have any Q's

    Paul
