    Some pics of mine...

    Finally got my sh1t together:

Jane making sure everything is OK before I depart

    Gloomy Como

'Don't wanna live like a refugee'

    Fuel crisis you say?

Aperto means 'Open for business' - you'll hear no more from me

Tony snacking, complained the bag of crisps was too big - still ate them all though

Looks scary here, but she isn't, she's very nice.

You wouldn't believe he goes all dewy-eyed when he talks about his Yorkshire Terrier

Exxon Valdiz captain and beemer-carver extrordinaire

    'Just leanin' on a lampost....'

Cool cafe owner and his daughter

H chills (I had another caption but I'm defiantly not going there )

    Beach bar denizen Sestre Levante

    Ditto, with ice cream

Hang on, what's going on here?

    Gadget, no kecks

    Graham, stop it!

    Novice, sorry make that intermediate

Between Rome & Rimini - wasn't entirely sure I could get it off there, actually.

The furthest we got exploring Rimini, about 50m from the hotel - frankly the beer, girls and scooter crashes were the same everywhere along the front.

Tossers in the bar - an exceptional circumstance

    Venice - tourist hell

    Venice - calm backwater

Admiring the view (of my bike)

Bryn - he just walked across there. Seriously, he walks on water (partly frozen water anyway)

    Doesn't get cooler than that

Bryn just about to be stuffed up the inside by Tony

Tony, just failing to get his pegs down

Now that is a relaxed pillion
There can only be 11 and I'm one.

I'm fairly sure I've spotted a face that I recognise amongst you lot. Would one of the travellers go by the name of Paul Langford by any chance?

    Great pics, thanks

The frozen lake looks like the resevoir on the Italian side of the St Bernadino pass , there's a little village on the far side of it, I've never understoood why anybody would want to live there. Yes it's very beautiful but the weather up there

In fact the lake is on the Stelvio, but everything else you say is spot on.
