Peaks, Pleasure & Pain

let me think about that for a second

Ela - great pics! :thumb2

Thanks very much for posting :D

(And Syco, if you ever consider the possibility of selling 101, drop me a PM, eh, eh!! I know a bloke who fits it.... :augie )

NAAR, sorry mate me and the big girl are much in love, I've now given her a proper name "CAMILLE" cos she's a bit camel like, you know good in sand and carries all her fuel in a big old hump on her back:thumb

nice one

Thank you for your kind comments and apologies for the delay in posting the next instalment.

I had another rally last weekend and am now on nurse duties again... :rolleyes:

i've had three of those, don't hurt to bad after a while. By the way don't do what i did. Three weeks after i broke mine it felt fine if a bit lumpy, anyway it snowed so i couldnt resist taking the KTM out for a play and all was fine until i tryed the big tabletop jump:eek::eek ouch that smarts. SWMBO was not happy and wouldn't give me the night off so for a few weeks i was a one armed waiter. Now you know why i'm called SYCO, more balls than brains:eek:

Thank you all for your kind words and your patience. :)

Apologies for the long delay: apart from looking after my poor, poor Possu

I also had to make jam (as every year after the EM – albeit on my own this time… :()

Now it has gone a bit quieter and I hope you are still interested in the rest of the report… :mmmm

Saturday afternoon, we are still at SkyGod Manor, ready to get going after a superb lunch.

I think that's the junction before my most embarrassing tumble... :eek:

Instead of cautiously riding down the steep rocky slope I first went up the bank - so that I had further to fall... :rolleyes: No photos here, I'm afraid, as everybody was too busy helping me up again. Thank you. :kissy2

Motörhead must have seen it coming...

One of the most varied and 'interesting' trails of the day was Fox Hill Lane. After we had reached the end unscathed and were just about to breathe a sigh of relief, Gary announced that we would go all the way back again... :eek:

Despite the amazing moral and physical support with lifting my big pig on various occasions during the day I felt completely knackered by 10.30 and went to bed. Probably missed the most interesting bits... :augie

Still noticed Proff's elaborate résumé of the day

Not so sure about the first two lines, to be honest... :D

Sunday morning

... looked a bit gloomy - quite appropriate though, as we had to part and go our separate ways again... :(

Great report Ella, as usual. I must admit I was tempted to get my camera out on the downhill where you went up the bank. I knew a few would struggle with the downhill as I'd spotted that it had developed a 'gully' as we past it on the way up, right on the corner!
Chivalry took over so I thought it best to get you out from under the throbbing beast...:)

Do you have a Hi-Res version of this photo that I could have?

Do you have a Hi-Res version of this photo that I could have?

Of course, Simon, but I think you can simply go to

* Smugmug
* click on 'Original' in photo sizes
* right-click
* save picture as...

Let me know if this doesn't work, then pm me your email address and I can send you the file.

Thanks for the chivalry, btw, next time I'll try harder on that slope... :mmmm
