Beamish Trophy Trial

A few more pics. Great to see what biking used to be like before ABS EWS Rescue Warranty etc. I'd never have survived:D

A question for Chris Kelley: In your second photo, is the pilot of the BMW-Wasp outfit a guy called Bob Cook? Do you have the programme to check, please?

If so, it's a long-time mate of mine dating from almost 40 years ago.

Cheers

....and further....

Bugger! If I'd known it was the Trophy Trial, I would have ventured North that weekend as it was one of my few weekends off. Haven't been to the trail for years, but have many great memories. Someone please PM before next year's trial. Ta!

Sorry Rooster,

No idea who those guys were.
Some of the other chaps may be able to tell you.

Hi Colin,
By the look of the picture in the Northern Echo it would look like Cookie and Baz on the sidecar

It is indeed! Cheers, Paul. He has obviously restored it - last time I was across at his place, he had just bought it back as a bit of a wreck.
