Sorry to revive an old thread. I was looking for guidance while installing an Autocom headset in a Shuberth C3 helmet and found this thread to be one of the most helpful. In my research I also found a link detailing how to install the BMW communicator into one of these helmets. You can find it here: http://www.ascycles.com/pdf/71 08 2011 (012) attachment install instructions C3.pdf. This gives great detail to the anatomy of the helmet. Much more than I've seen elsewhere and much more than Shuberth details when the show how to install their communicator. Specifically, how and where to run the wires within the helmet and the boom mic in a very secure and convenient location.
I'll be using what I learned here and combining it with how the BMW communicator integrates into the C3 for my install.
