Popped into my local shop today that sell Triumph amongst others.
Got chatting to the sales guy who is a mate and he sent me out on their Street Triple R,as he wanted a few more miles on it whilst the weather was good.
Anyway,what a stonking bike !!!!
I had one of the first Daytona 675s in 06 but this is much nicer.
Same engine,but slightly re/detuned.
But far more torque where you need it and the FI was perfect.
As was the feel at the levers and the gear change etc.
The riding position is spot on,and I'm 6'1".
But ,as it has the fully adjustable suspension off the Daytona,the seat height is a tad taller as it's firmed up compared to the standard Street Triple.
Handling was very sweet and it sounds amazing-I had the optional 'Triumph Sports Exhaust' on my Daytona,and this bike,as standard sounds better.
And of course you can get the optional Arrows etc .
Anyway,brilliant brilliant bike.
One of the best road bikes I've ever ridden and it costs £6k. ish
No wonder the mags are raving about it.
If I could sell my Ducati I would get one.
