G'day,
I'm installing an Autocom but taking it from its original box and mounting into a waterproof one in addition to shortening all the cables etc..
The PTT cable goes into a 5 pin DIN along with the cable from the Uniden UH079SX UHF CB and then this DIN connects to another cable going to the Autocom.
What I'd like to know is the connections for the above so I can fabricate a new cable.
Failing that can anyone tell me how the PTT function works so I can knock one up myself.
There are only 2 wires between the UHF and the autocom so I assume that when the PTT is hit these wires carry both the audio and some kind of control voltage on one of thepins to tell the UHF to transmit?
Anyone shed light?
Cheers
