Langdale Quest Plan B

Weahter

Well I have decided to look to what weather we can expect.Errr No help at all really:blast

First I looked here................
http://uk.weather.yahoo.com/england/north-yorkshire/pickering-31982/
Quite encouraging I thought.

But then double checked with the BBC.............
http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forec...ring&itemsPerPage=10&region=uk&area=Pickering
Dissapointing or what!

Then there is this one,now this is the service I looked at for last week at Chatsworth and it was pretty well spot on.

Take it as it comes then! It's been relatively dry all week up here apart from a couple of heavy showers yesterday and a couple of light showers today. I was talking to somebody from Whitby earlier and it's been similar up there.

Yep pretty much what I thought. My parents have been telling me the same as regards the weather not brilliant but not too bad.
I am determined to have fun no matter what. The weather did not spoil Chatsworth last weekend for me and I aint gonna let it spoil this weekend either :thumb2

PETROL

Nearest Petrol will be Pickering.
May I suggest that we all fill up as we pass thru upon arrival in Pickering,if comming from the south, and from the North the nearest I know for sure is at the roundabout on Guisborough Road at Stakesby.

Best laid plans...

KarnEvil,

At the last minute I'm not 100% certain I'll be able to make it and I'm not going to be sure until early tomorrow morning. If I'm not at the crossing in the morning don't wait for me. Very sorry but have a great weekend if I can't make it.

Cheers,

Paul

Any idea of total mileage for Saturday?

Well the very first origonal plan,in Langdale was in the region of 120 miles. When I discussed a route with Folkbiker we thought we could get a good 100 at least. We will be able to get fuel en-route tho

Well what a fantatic weekend we have had, great weather, superb company and fantastic roads.

I have to be clear here this event only happened because of Nigel(Folkbiker)
and sue.Many many thank guys.

At this point I feel I should say NO-ONE fell off and no gear levers were broken or exhausts flattened :toungincheek

Once I get home I will see if i can download the tracks from Garmin and post here and post some pics.

Thanks to all who came and supported te event and again big thanks to Nige.

Andy.

Just want to add my thanks to Nige for arranging a fantastic day (including the weather).

Looking forward to seeing the photos (and got a couple of my own to add) although obviously there won't be any of people falling off or of broken gear levers or flattened exhausts as I agree that none of that sort of thing happened :augie
