best bike to bike radio's ?

Hmmm - wish I'd known that when I ordered them !
They do work well together but obviously not with UK PMR frequencies :tears

and probably not Liscence free UK bands either. If you can I would suggest trying to get them swapped to the 400MHZ freq range units. I am not sure but I believe there are some emergency use only frequencies in that freq band so you could end up in a lot of bother if you spark off a rescue or break through on to the channel unauthorised!

Puxing PX-777

Yep I'm going to get the UHF versions instead - can't see it being worthwhile sending the VHF ones back to Hong Kong though, especially as I've charged them up & played with them -good job they were not too expensive !
For the time being I've set them to VHF frequencies as in post 19 on this thread.
Hopefully Boon or another radio expert will be along shortly to say whether this is OK or not :rob

UK general license frequencies:

86.3500MHz 164.0625MHz

Just a quick vote for the Interide A80 Wintec radio with or without the external ariel

I've had the old '99' and a whole array of imported tat including the Puxing and WeiWei all worked in parts but were just not able to be reliable. However a cheap Lynton works well, only 2 watts but VERY clear comms when compared to the Puxing.

In fact better than the A80! But batches seem to vary.
