Serious amount o spondoolacs there with more to come and I know that £30k is not too far over the horizon

Your achievement may go unnoticed or ignored on here but by fuk I'm hell of a sure it will be appreciated in Gambia where it really matters

The amount of work in Blues nights, dinner for 30, cooking of roast dinners for drunken tossers, looks like the ride is going to be the easy part

    Fixed it for you

At the risk of blowing our own trumpet I think this is an incredible amount of money and will make such a real impact on the peolpe that will use the 'new' Calum's Road in The Gambia.

Well done all and, most importantly, thanks for all the support and donations from peeps on this site

So, like Johnny says, £30,000 is within reach, just one final push needed ........ and as luck would have it I still have some stickers left So, boys'n'gals, get them PM's off to me and buy some more Calum's Road 2010 stickers for your panniers

Sorry my ignored was not directed at the site or 99% of the members as the site has given us a platform to work from and the membership has more than looked after us.

I'll keep my wee petty snipes to myself in future

that is a real serious total to have raised so far

I know this may sound a wee bit funny but any chance of an update of who's still going on the trip.. We all know a few have had to pull out due to not being able to fund their own trip at this time due to financial constraints.. house and home has to come first.
Also an update of events or anything still going on organised for raising money for the charity
Not everyone follows the threads as closely as they could and may miss out on something that's happening.

On the runners and riders bit, the following are members of this parish confirmed to head off in January 2010:

    Ottomunch -Andres Sotos-Castello
    Freeloader - David Lees
    Bhud - David Munro
    Nakambale -Gert de Jonge
Milk Tray Man - Glen Bagnell
    Paintman - John Hawkins
    Sockpuppet - Richard Collyer
    Thunder - Roger Gillespie
    Crapaud - Sid Horman
    Neil 23 - Neil Hughes
Betty Swollocks - Stephen Mc Gilton
Master Baker - Colin Mc Arthur

I know one paticular event is being planned by someone not on that list, I could post details but I'm sworn to secrecy, all I will say its going to be memorable and will carry NSFW when its reported

Which is only £49 short of 12 times £2000 - ok, some of us have raised less than others, but I'd see £24,000 as a bit of a milestone.
