BMW Motorrad to support National Bikesafe Show

BMW Motorrad is gearing up for this year’s National Bikesafe Show being held over the weekend of 20/21 June at the Metropolitan Police Training School in Hendon.

BMW Motorrad will have a strong presence at this year’s event. A number of popular BMW bikes will be available for customers to ride, free of charge. Visitors will be able to use their own bikes for assessed rides with a police officer - or try out Manufacturer bikes. Those wishing to use BMW bikes will be able to choose from the latest models such as the recently launched F 800 R, the three versions of K 1300 bikes, R 1200 RT, R 1200 GS and GS Adventure, F 800 GS, F 650 GS and the HP2 Sport.

The brand new S 1000 RR will also be on display for those eager to catch a glimpse of BMW Motorrad’s highly-anticipated new entrant in the supersport motorcycle sector. Press reactions so far have been very positive after the official unveiling of the S 1000 RR at the Italian round of the World Superbike Championship last month in Monza.

Other activities on the day will range from National Bikesafe DVD lectures, the East Coast FMX stunt display, to trade stands selling food, drinks, clothing and accessories.

BMW Motorrad’s UK Marketing Manager, Tony Jakeman, is delighted that BMW is able to continue its annual support for National Bikesafe:

“It’s very appropriate that BMW Motorrad should continue its support for National Bikesafe at Hendon, given our credentials as the leading manufacturer in motorcycle safety. BMW strives to make motorcycling as safe as possible by offering customers not only the most progressive motorcycle safety technology, such as advance braking systems and traction control, but also top class protective clothing in the BMW Rider Equipment range. BMW also supports the development of rider skills through it’s own Rider Training facility in Wales. We offer all levels of motorcycle training, from CBT to Direct Access and all the way up to Advanced Road Riding.”
