I've got a busy week, and I'm setting off on Friday morning, so I thought I'd start getting things ready.

Yesterday I trialled the new tarp setup - 6m x 3m and 2.3m high:D

Iv'e put a Pimms Jug in the van and got my factor 15 out ready :Motomartin

Haven't chose my shirt but at least i know which aftershave i'm taking :cool:

I might get some of that new Autoglym wax and do the van on Saturday morning :nenau

PS ............. Anyone want to buy a Sat Phone ( PM Me ) :)

My only nod to preparation was to see quite how much my fold up chair sticks out beyond my panniers on the back of the bike.

The answer is "bloody miles" - time for a new chair I think....
 
I'm drinking to excess and eating meat based meals, but that's hardly preparation....

Tent? Yes

Li-lo? Yes

Sleeping bag? Yes

Fastening the above to motorbike: Pending..

prep I've learnt my less gonna throw some clothes at the bike friday morning, gaffa tape the tent on the back and what ever is left when I get down is what I'm wearing or sleeping in. Extra roll of gaffa tape for return trip...

If you take some ramps you'll certainly be someones friend by the end of the day! I did the whole route, but there were only one or two fords big enough for the van, most having to be driven around.

how much stuff? I take it you are going away for 3 years and including Hograost 2009. 2010 and 2011? :eek:
