Looks to be a great ride out, but did anyone record the route on a Garmin / Mapsource compatible device by any chance ( maybe with the thought of a return trip in the future?)

Pog has very kindly mailed a step by step route, from which i have tried to plot using Mapsource!! trouble is.... i can't find the lanes on my Mapsource??

Any help greatly appreciated .... i'm stopping at the very same site next weekend..

    Thanks in advance ....

The lanes (unclassified roads) are on Google Maps and also most road atlases... Perhaps try plotting the route step by step on there first

Or you could just cross the road from the campsite... and all the roads are good

my next step will be to get a decent scale road map of the area. If that fails i'll convert your step by step into 'tulips' and away we go

The misses and I decided to do our own road ride.
Over to Askrigg and Reeth by the smallest roads I could find.
Ice Cream on the green in Reeth, then back via Skipton.

Haven't seen such good weather in the Dales in many a visit

    Looking back towards Askrigg.

Semer Water in the far distance, namesake of one of SWMBO's favorite beers!

    Cracking weather.
