Where was i ?
Ow yes on my way to a hotel.
Apples a plenty at the foot of the Stelvio and now heading for Austria.
come across this large lake with a church sticking up out of the water. http://uk.wrs.yahoo.com/_ylt=A1f4cf...0/**http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reschen_Pass
on my way to finding the hotel a nice lady decodes that she would reverse at a junction the end result being me and the GS on our sides.
Another Italian learns some choice English words FFS.
These things happen when you are a " global traveler " .
lucky for me the hotel is only minutes away and a nice chap on a 1200 GS picks the heavy lump up [the bike not me]
Another sunny days beacons.
so does stiffness and a open wound to my left shin.
where i had a open fracture and then skin graft that never took.
just what i try to avoid at all costs.
views from my hotel window. www.seehotel.it very nice
60 euro's incl 5 course eve meal and break fast [ham and eggs] Amanda
a stuffed Marmot!! you see these things on the mountain sides.
[i could eat a whole one]
sadly i need to take it a tad steady today [for 5 minutes]
out of the hotel and onto the Reschenpass and Austrian alps,
a very low and open pass idea for grass growing.
half way through the pass mrs garmin 660 sends me left onto another pass.
[could not find a name and back into Switzerland.
which was handy as fuel is cheaper in swiss.
through a couple small towns/villages and onto yet another pass.
Fluelpass another cracker very twisty and makes you go faster
note the little house / shack must be a tad nippy in the winter. [last picture]
Great detail Ash, well done!
Been to Swiz twice and not seen quite all the passes you have - "church in the lake" business was a bit unfortunate, but I can understand it as the scenery is every bit as good as your photos- hope its got betterer - and just get on with the story please!!
