Just been blatting down the Gulf Coast of Florida for 2 days on an Electra Glide.

I've rented various HDs in past such as Fatboys and Softails but never an Electra Glide.

What a bloody brilliant bike.

Very comfy 2 up with Green Day blatting out on the CD player.

Love it.

That last shadow photo is a classic :)
'Glides are fantastic bikes are they not? Sold mine in June.:(
What never ceases to amaze me is that there are so many people who've never been on a Harley, let alone ridden one in the U.S,that slag them off as piles of junk. You've been there, done it :clap and I say again, that photo, just...........cool.
As for filtering through the traffic on the M62 on a freezing cold January morning,on a 'Glide, forget it.

I used to borrow a mate's Glide. One of the best long-distance bikes I've ridden.

By the way, I think you should treat us to a picture of your pillion... :D

Sorry boys but Arsey is bang on the money.

I've just finished scrubbing the tyres in on a Electra glide Standard and I'm very impressed to say the least.

It handles, is comfy [rider at least] and is plenty fast enough for me. Incredibly smooth with rubber mounted engine and it stops good too. There's been a vast improvement on even a couple of years ago to the HD touring bikes.

If you wanna know the truth - seriously - it occurred to me as I was going along doin' some real thinkin': this bikes as good my 1100GS on the road.

Book yourselves a decent test on a touring HD folks: I think you'll be surprised, even astounded.

"On the road" how about when you want to do what a GS was designed for?
