I was going through some old photos taken over 20 years ago.

Do you recognise the trails? :nenau

Start with an easy one:

fook 20 years ago:rob lol i had a er50(i think, for the fields) loved that bike:D no pic's.

I reckon the first one looks like Roych too. Could number 5 be Pindale.

Give us a clue Spout, which ones are still legal lanes and which have been shut by NERC. Some of us aren't old enough to have been riding the lanes 20 years ago:augie

Correct.

Number 1 is Royche Clough and
Number 5 is Pindale

and I think Nos 2, 4 & 7 are recently "restricted"

I don't actually know where No 6 is, I was hoping someone might tell me. I remember it being steep and a right b*stard (hence the sideways action)

Is No2 from the Little Mill at Rowarth up toward Hayfield??
No. that's Tenterhill. Is Tenterhill still open? - I haven't tried it recently (not the sort of trail for my 1150, will be difficult on the HP)

And, yes, No 3 is Royches again.:clap

No 4 is Taxal Ford, now a restricted byway, with my mate Dave (RIP) showing how to exit in style. For the last 10 years or so the track up past the church has been surfaced and a concrete step had to be negotiated to get out of the river.

No 7 is a (now) bridleway round the back of Rowarth (alternative route to the Little Mill Inn). Used to link to a nice little (now restricted) trail down into Hayfield.

Happy days :mmmm

Off my patch Paul so don't recognise any but what a great thread:thumb

Could 6 be the steep one at Hollinsclough? (the one people usually come down), although some mates and I spent some considerable time manhandling our bikes UP it once on a really hot day before we knew better!

Number 6 looks like 'catholes lane' or it could well be the steep one that goes up and has lots of 'whoops'? I think it's near Bamford?
