Just bought a new tent at a special offer price of US$109 from REI - the Half Dome 2 person / 3 season tent. weight just 2.3kg. Very lightweight alloy poles, 2 doors on the side rather than at the end of the tent plus nice big vestibules.
It should get its first outing at the BMF later this month although it did get a dry run in my hotel room last night
b.t.w. I was most disappointed that the nice young lady wasn't inside the tent package.
