Kemal Merkit was there.. he raced in Dakar Tukish team this year, his presentation of the race was awesome

Boarding onto the ferry from Pendik to Yalova, weather was rather cloudy and grim, dampening our hopes for a nice ride to Bursa.

A couple of ships waiting off the coast to drop their cargos at port once called in:







Konuralp; a fellow tosser, cheeky as always come rain or shine!



Yours truly, trying to strike a decent pose for the camera while tentatively watching that over-loaded truck coming fast round the bend behind Konuralp who is taking the photo, unaware of it all!

This is the future of camping! Hovering tent, coated with space age anti-gravity nano particles!



Inflatable matress too large, hand pump too small... desperately looking around to steal an electrical pump from the fellow campers around, while...



...i am trying to light up our miniscule barbeque for dinner.

Nah, just kidding! Bursa is quite famous for the quality of local lamb and beef. We definitely agreed with that after downing nearly a kilo of each.

All in all a great weekend, nice weather, beautiful roads, peaceful campsite and good music.

we had to keep the track short and not so technical, too many risks otherwise.. it was not a professional race, but then it took me total of 5 hours to prepare the track on thursday and friday..
then i was one of the marshalls.. the one that blew the whistle at the start line

yep, and we were two of those twats standing in the run-off area behind the finishing line, to whom you barked to go stand somewhere else unless wanting to get run over by the competitors!

Camera is subject to random inspections by SWMBO. Obviously i do not leave any incriminating evidence behind.

Malcolm Leick just left my home en route to Black Sea. We met last night and had a long chatty on where to stay, what to see...
About an hour ago, he set off for Akçakoca, his first city on the Black Sea coast. Pics will come.
