My lad wants to get into biking, green laning in particular but has yet to pass his test. He's 25 and did have a Honda XLR125 when he was 17. Any bike he gets would need to be dual purpose as he'd probably use it to get to work on occasionally, but mainly the intention is to get started on the lanes, and to get his test done.
He has a hankering for a Husky 125 2T but he couldn't ride it on L plates, so I'm of a mind to suggest something else for him. Can anyone advise with regard to the Yamaha XT125 ? I expect it will be much like his XLR but I'm interested to know if a decent set of tyres would see it capable of laning ?
