Hello chaps, I'm contemplating going to a gig on Saturday at the Academy and I'd be tempted to take my bike rather than drive. I've read on the site the nearest parking is in Union Street. Is that place ok to leave a bike during a gig? It's a Kawasaki ER6F so not exactly a thief's dream but it's no munter.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Incidently the gig is a cracking band called Bigelf - complete 70s rock experience (imagine locking Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, King Crimson and Deep Purple in a room and forcing them to play together). :thumb

Yeah, you'll be fine in Oxford.

For bike parking it's not so bad - bring a car and it's a different story. Around there I'd just find a bit of out of the way pavement or a private carpark - shouldn't be an issue. Union Street should be fine. Nearest dedicated bike parking would be either on Broad Street or Oriel Square.
