what open faced lid ?

OGK
no, really - that's the brand name
appeared to be a copy of an Arai 'Freeway' i think
i spend a lot of time in an open face and that one was the best i ever had. :thumb2
light, good long visor, washable lining, the vents worked and it was durable.
Had to stop wearing it when i couldn't get a visor for it. :(

Shoei's aren't bad and Arai's good usually - but a fierce price.

Good luck.

i had a roof boxer previously,in full face mode it just steamed up in the rain cos there are no vents & the air leaked in where it shouldnt making my eyes water all the time!-i used it open faced all the time but thats just a waste of money :(

I think you'll find the newer ones are vented.

Then the chin bit comes off altogether to make a fully open lid :thumb2

I'll second the Arai freeway, comfiest helmet I have ever worn!

Fanums Givi

Mrs Og has the Givi open face version of Fanums,

She says
light, comfy, washable lining, cool in Summer (not that we've been getting one)

"hardly know i'm wearing it" speaks volumes. :thumb2

(She has 30 years experience :D)

Best of both worlds, Shark have just release Evoline 2, chin bar dissapears right over the back and looks cool! :ymca

Pricey at around £250,

I like to the look of the Bell open face helmets, but can you put a visor on?

I'm getting more and more keen on open face lids - I just rode 1200km with my System 4 with he jet kit and it seemed just as comfortable as in full-face mode.

I was thinking of replacing it with a Multitech, but I'm half-tempted to just get a good open face lid instead.

now the warm weathers here im finding im riding with my multitech open most of the time:p

so fancy an open faced lid, any recomendations peeps:)

As others have said Davida make a very nice helmet, I did not find it comfortable and settled on Caberg for less than half the price. Very pleased comfortable and the built in dark visor is really nice.
