Having watched the chief constable at a press conference, at least we can be sure they haven't spent any taxpayer's money on media presentation courses...
 
Today two coppers, having bought a couple sarnies, didn't want to sit in their car eating them as it was an obvious target. This is Gateshead. What a bunch of poofs.

Exactly. I have a sneeky feeling the Police have just said that so that he gets turned in if he's being sheltered and doesn't get turned into some kind of popular "hero". The fact that when pressed the Police wouldn't say what made them say that certainly raised some eyebrows.

But in my book it's ok to lie if the end justifies the means and it saves someones life.
