Wilbers ESA

They cannot wriggle out of everything because you changed your shocks, it may cause hassle if an electrical fault develops, but you could say the same for sat-nav, autocom's :blagblah

If the thing drops a valve or throws a rod I think they would be hard pressed to blame your Wilburs shocks.

Lowered Suspension by Wilbers at REVS

Hi all thanks for the feedback to my original query.

I did go ahead and get lowered WESA units fitted. In end I discoverd the WESA units were available only in 2 ride height reductions viz: 35mm and 65mm.

I opted for the 35mm units and I am delighted with the result - heels flat on floor and knees slightly bent - perfect for me and well worth the expense.

Aside from the ride height reduction which was the main reason for this mod , the bike seems to be more planted in corners, the 'vagueness' I felt existed on faster sweeping A road bends is well and truly gone. A good result all round.

Side stand didn't need altering and works just fine although the lean is now not so 'alarming'. Centre stand does need to be modified if you want to use it regularly, however I have found that a 'high tech' solution is to use a short length of planed 40mm timber as a ramp to 'lift' the rear wheel thus allowing the centre stand to function works just fine.

Where did I get it done? ... Others on this site seemed to give REVS in Haleowen good reports so I chose to get the units fitted by them. The reports were well founded and I was very pleased with the whole transaction. REVS, specialising in suspension, is owned and run by Jon & Nick, two of the most knowledgeable guys I have met whose principal interest was to provide the customer with good solid advice and a set up up that was tailored to their specific needs. No sales pitch whatsoever and my several rounds of questions did not faze them one bit - no question seemed too trivial.

The ride in ride out service was excellent and I was well looked after so I have no hesitiation in giving REVS a big thumbs up!
