Carbs on an oilhead

Surely you'd vent it before the filter so it makes no difference to the quality of air getting to the engine, only its quantity.

Anyway if you're venting off excess pressure then the flow would be out of the holes, not into them.

so you make around 8bhp,,, for how much?
are the emissions much different on the carb,d bike?
was the dyno done with a freshly serviced bike to start with as you mention a surging prob, and uneven m/way speeds???
would the dyno graphs be closer together if the bike was serviced first,, then tested back to back with inj/carbs?

Very interesting. One of the things I like about FI is that you just don't have to do anything with it, particularly if going to places like the alps where the FI should adjust the fuelling to suit the conditions. Wonder how much maintenance the bings need.

.
been going years to places like that on carb,d bikes, never a problem
