    PING....Feck.....Three wheels have become four

    So there I was just about half an hour ago.

    Removing a nasty,knarly and frayed clutch cable from my Ural.

    And fitting a brand new,freshly lubed one.

    And adjusting it after installation.

    PING !!!!

    Eh ???

    Fecking cable has snapped at the lever end.....

    Looks like the inner was excessively heated and splayed out too much at the nipple.

    All my solos and my other Ural are SORNED and stashed away due to my Project Garage/Patio/Driveway.


    So that`s it then.


    I`m QUADDING it.

    Haven`t ridden the quad for a few weeks anyway.

    Now then.....what about that snow I was asking about....

    i can't remember the last time i snapped a clutch cable....sometime in the early 80's anyway.

    Air cooled rd 250 around 1978 nipple broken off lever end clutch cabel 1 role of solder and 1 candle fixed for as long as I kept the bike JJH
