Is it as simple as just putting 6v bulbs in ordinary 12v indicators to turn them to 6v? :nenau My sons new project (1990 DT 50) didn't come with any indicators on it and we need to get some but I'm wondering is it that simple or will the wire have too much resistance to work properly? :nenau

Assuming it has a flasher unit still then stick 6v bulbs in new indicators and should work

No problem at all fitting 6v bulbs into 12v shells.

It often had to be done the other way around when fitting mini indicators.

As above though, you`ll naturally need to have the original flasher unit or a suitable replacement one.

Ok, thanks gents. :thumb2 I'll have a look for the flasher unit when we start to strip it down. :thumb

Udders, I have some indicators here the lad can have FOC...... I'm glad to hear of young lads having a go at rebuilding stuff.:thumb2
The OP, yes, there is only cables in the shells so a 12v indy can be turned (no pun) into a 6v with a lamp swap.
I'll take some pics of the units I've got and load them on here tonight.
If he needs any other help or advise, just ask....

Timpo.

PS. Got some mirrors here also if required.
