ok, but fairly thirsty, tank range is not very good, can pass anything bar a petrol station

I've had a 600 Hornet for a few years now and it's been totally reliable and done nothing wrong at all.
The only thing I would fault, certainly on the 600 but I suspect on the 900 as well, is the tank range.

I had a 900 Hornet for a year.
Very dependable, reliable, smooth engine, excellent commuter.
Also the most boring, dull bike I've ever ridden.
I wouldn't say it would pass anythnig but a petrol pump. I had mine from almost new and it was about as quick as the VTR1000F I had before. ie quite alright, but nothing exceptional.
