With the annual Welsh May UKGSer event being moved to Shropshire this year, Lucy and I called into the the venue today to sort out some details as there are only 4 months to go :bounce1

We have secured our own area of the camp site exclusive for Tossers :thumb2

Camping is £5 per person per night
Wobbly boxes are £16 per van per night including electric hookup.

Friday night there will be a bar menu for you to do your own thing :thumb2

Saturday morning full English breakfast including tea/coffee fruit juice available for around £6.50 per head. There will also be the choice of cereal.

Saturday daytime go and play on the road or dirt. The rides will probably leave the car park at 10:00am.

Saturday evening there will be bar meals available and a live band, I have known the lead guitarist since we were 16... awesome :bow

Sunday morning will probably be bacon baps etc for those who require :thumb2

I will start individual threads with more info etc very soon.

Camping field with room for 60/70 tents... no the digger won't be there :thumb

FFS, they're having a Giraffe.................

£16 a night for Wobblyboxes :eek::eek::mad:
They'll make a fortune out of the amount us Tossers drink....
So no need to rip us on site fee.....:(

I only paid £15 a night in August on a proper seaside site with Heated swimming pools, huge restaurants, bars and function rooms, plus a great pub.....
Devon Cliffs.....near Exmouth..
Only there to meet Family from Blackcountry on their fortnights holidays....

Otherwise I pikey camp......:aidan

PS. just checked Devon Cliffs website, up until end of March, only £7 a night inc Leccy :augie

EDIT...
Most pubs around here {Devon} offer FREE overnight stops IF you use the pub..
Portsmouth Arms Umberleigh for one.......................
Red lion Exbourne for another ....

You can put me down as a 'no thanks' at that price.
Campers, who are more likely to use washing and showering facilities, £5
Self contained motorhomes and campervans £16

How much are day trippers charged for using the car park ?

Some of you lot are like old women :blast

When the venue was hotel based you moaned that the camping was too far away.

Then at Baskerville, we had moaners saying the grass was too long.

Now we have the £20k motorhome brigade whining about price :augie

Here's the deal.... if you want to come then all are welcome.

If the venue doesn’t suit you for what ever reason then go do one in your hat :thumb

i wish i had a wobbly box.
It would be a damn site cheaper than the hotels / b&b's i have to use :tears
talking of b&b's:augie

You can buy mine off me for £20K if you like. :thumb

I've got a VW day van. Is that lumped in with motorhomes?

I've got a motorbike too but I'm not sure if this is the kind of event to ride it to. I'm not prepared to fit a sidecar just to fit in

I thought Baskerville was one of the better venues, camping and hotel at the same place, "unusual" local disco, ok the grass was a bit long and the bogs basic, but it wasn't silly money. And the local roads seem pretty good too. Even entertainment at breakfast time, 17 beans per punter!!

Sometimes the moaners just need to wind their necks in, bet none of them organise anything more challenging than a trip to the toilet.

Don't go then.

Personally, I'd decree that if you aren't in a tent then you shouldn't be there. The pissing competition about who can get the most tat in a van has got tiresome. And for all the "disabled" whingers, if you can ride a bike you can pitch a tent, save the money you spend on camper van and get on a plane to somewhere warm, it'll do your joints the world of good.
