Wapping's Wanders - Ardennes - 29/4-2/5

Richard - Cracking trip. What can I say - the company, the food, the routes and the 70mph cross winds back to Calais were fantastic. A really good time had especially the collection of insects on the bike and in me. I have decided I need to eat more pies to make my butt more comfortable (hopefully a man in Huddersfield will fix that) and to combat the crosswinds. :D

Richard just to add my thanks to a fantastically memorable few days which felt like an extended holiday with old friends. I shall for ever more retain the memory of you floating out to sea with your newly wed over the corals of the lagoon into the depths of the Indian Ocean while masterfully nosing your Swan pedalo into the breakers and vainly trying to convince her that all was well as you were both unceremoniously tipped into the surf. As you said, things didn't get off to the best of starts.

Thanks also to Phil for attempting to teach me the art of riding around corners at 110mph while standing up, stretching a leg and cricking the neck in both directions. Can we just start of with the seated position Phil at around 60mph - there you go. And to Tom for putting up with the banter and nay - contributing and extending it each time he attempted to defend himself.

Thanks Richard and look forward to the next one.

Marc
