    municipal campsites

    hi can anyone tell me if the french municipal campsites stay open all year?

    All the one,s I have camped on close at the end of sept.. When the kids go back to school seem,s to be the time they start to close ....

    Borrow a copy of the michelin camping France guide.
    AFAIK the specific details of each camp site are listed in it, Inc the seasonal opening hours

    No, not in my experience ... usually open again at Easter

    ive since found ukcampsite.co.uk that gives you french campsites that stay open all year for any one else whos interested.

    Dont beleive it - not many of the campsites that were listed as open all year or into November were open last week when I went - bugger the campsites Formule 1's are not much more expensive and warm and clean.

    I always use municipal sites. Much cheaper, quieter and independent travelers welcome. For the last 4 years I wish I had seen this link. Thank you so much for posting. Most of them are in Archies, but the contact details and are sketchy. This is the bomb.
