Abrasion has already said that no ride out will be organised by himself so, in order keep myself out of trouble I'm probably going to pop out for a few hours on Saturday for lunch.

In the first instance I'm planning on going for some fish & chips at point B shown here:

The chippy comes highly recommended by Allan Davies and Wessie knows that all the pubs are good too. :thumb

The distance is 55 miles and will take around two hours and will hopefully include some pleasant lanes. As far as I know it'll be tarmac all the way, but I will look at this in more detail to make sure there will not be any surprises.

It will be a gentle bimble to the destination and in no way fast or daring because I don't know the roads and it may be wet & slippery. There will be stopping opportunities for bladder relief, nicotine top-ups, fluid intake and photographs of I don't know what yet, and they will be at the behest of anyone involved for whatever reason: It'll will be very relaxed and group led.

The only thing I would put forward as being imperative is that we make it to the chippy before it closes. I don't know what time that is so I'll check beforehand to ensure I don't miss out.

I'd suggest leaving around 11:00am to have lunch around 13:30hrs, or later if you had a massive breakfast, and we take the quick route back to base via the A40 & A449 for a late afternoon bevvy  and prepare for the pole dancing in the evening. :toungincheek

Well done Ditchy...I trust there will be no hills, steep descents etc...:augie

No. They're Hindu Temples.

It's best I go for a ride rather than hang around the pub all day. :blast

why dont you guys go a little further to Abergavenny and go to the bus stop cafe as thats well know as a bikers cafe!!!!! they come from all over to meet up there plus you you get the Big Hairy arsed bikers there to

Sounds good hope you've arranged the weather for this trip?.

Of course. If the weather turns out to be a bit iffy then we can agree to go nowhere and just hang around or...

...pop down to Dave's on the easy roads and have him guide us somewhere for lunch on his 900GS.
